The strip is not meant to be reusable and may be ineffective at showing temperature changes. However, it is waterproof and can be immersed in water without affecting its performance. The strip cannot be used to measure room temperature on the wall as it only shows the temperature of the surface it is stuck to. It is 5 3/8" in length and about 7/8" in width. The strip is easy to use and sticks well to glass and plastic jars. It is designed for use on the outside of the jar and will not work for measuring the level of fuel oil in a tank.
