Italeri 550320 Editorial Review
**** The Italeri Commando Car kit provides a nostalgic yet divisive building experience, reflecting its origins as a rebox of a classic 1976 mold. For many, the kit offers an enjoyable challenge, especially for those looking to dive back into modeling after a long break or for novices seeking an accessible project. Reviewers appreciate the unique modifications that can be applied to this vehicle, including added armor plating, weapon mounts, and extra fuel tanks. These features allow for personal creativity in detailing the model, making it rewarding for those willing to invest time in customization. However, the kit's age shows, with several builders noting the presence of excessive flash, soft detail, and misalignment Issues. While some found the assembly fairly straightforward once the parts were properly cleaned, others encountered fitting issues that required forcing components together. The instructions are described as basic and at times confusing, which might frustrate some. Overall, the Italeri Commando Car is best suited for modelers who appreciate vintage kits and are prepared to tackle the potential challenges that come with aging molds. For those looking for a simple and enjoyable build, the kit has merit, but caution is warranted regarding its quality and fit. **
