Alcoa Home Exteriors V Blocks EZBLK040 A7 Editorial Review
E-Z Block Surface Mounting Block The E-Z Block Surface Mounting Block is a versatile product that can be used for various applications. It is available in a tan color, which may not match white vinyl siding but can be painted to suit individual preferences. The block can be used for mounting outlet boxes as well as lights, providing flexibility in its usage. One of the main advantages of this product is its adaptability. Customers have mentioned that it is easy to modify and can be customized to fit different needs. Some users have even used it to cover unsightly holes, such as a 6" outdoor spigot surround, by sealing it well with silicone. The block is designed to be attached to the siding either by screwing it through the mounting block or by trapping it with the flange or lip of the item being mounted. It is not a solid piece but has a thicker wall than the siding, providing a flat-looking surface. Customers have also commented that the block is compatible with the Ring, a popular smart home security device, and can be easily mounted with some modifications. It is pre-scored in the back for a single gang outlet, but if it is being used for other purposes, it can be custom-cut using a dremel tool. Overall, the E-Z Block Surface Mounting Block is a useful and adaptable product that fulfills its intended purpose. It provides a convenient solution for mounting outlet boxes or lights onto siding, and its flexibility allows for customization to suit individual needs.
