This 15-gallon plastic barrel is a good water storage option. It has two roughly 2” plugs on opposite sides of the top, and in the center of them are knockouts that reveal 1/2” npt/ tapered pipe thread. One could fairly easily go to a hardware store and buy the valves and fittings to have a spigot, even make a cradle to lay the tank on its side for gravity feed. The container is sturdy, and the blue I hear is the best to buy. The drum came in a box, no damage, and it is suitable for storing water, fuel, and even as a float for a lake aerator. However, the product is not rated for gasoline. To remove the bung plugs, one needs to buy a bung wrench, and the container is BPA-free. It is lightweight and easy to carry extra water when boondocking. It is essential to note that water can be stored indefinitely. Still, it is uncertain how long it will remain potable.
