It can also be used as a MIDI controller. However, if used as a plugin in other DAWs, it may take some time to route the signal from its own track into the inputs. The device requires quite a bit of software to be downloaded and installed, but this is all managed by their online system and is fairly no hassle on a PC. Though on a MAC, the install experience is even easier. It is a powerful tool, but not very intuitive. It takes time to learn and may require several hours of software downloading for the initial set up.
